The GHS Spell Team competed at the Area Spell meet at Homestead HS. The team received 2nd place at the area meet!
We had Jack Faylor also receive the “Near Perfect Speller” ribbon for spelling 8 of 9 words correctly. Also, Alex Smith and Quinton Ross spelled 7 of 9 words correctly that night! The students studied a word list of over 2,200 words.

Today, CTE students learned about a local non-profit by visiting Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. BPAS gives displaced, captive-raised exotic animals a place to live out the rest of their lives. Thanks BPAS for a great visit! #CarrytheG

By providing comprehensive guidance and resources, the program equips students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to navigate the competitive job market. Through partnerships and collaborations with local businesses, Garrett High School connects students with meaningful internship and career opportunities. The program’s recent success in signing 13 students to careers with reputable companies is a testament to its effectiveness.
One exceptional achievement of Garrett High Schools Career Development Program is the graduation of Tim Depew, the first student to graduate high school as a certified welder! Great job Tim! We’re so proud of the success Tim has achieved and look forward to what he will accomplish in the future.
