GHS Students

Earlier this month, nine students from Garrett High School shared their original research alongside graduate and undergraduate researchers at the Geological Society of America's (GSA) North Central Regional Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan. One group of students is researching the impact of climate change on the leaf cycle of local hardwoods and another group investigated the extent of impact from a nitrate pollution point source on Little Cedar Creek south of Auburn. The students were excited about the welcoming atmosphere of GSA and loved the encouragement and partnerships they experienced at the conference.
