Virtual Health Visits

parkview health

Garrett Keyser Butler CSD was pleased to be the pilot school to partner with Parkview Health Virtual Services to provide our students with access to high quality medical care.

For the second year of our program, we hope to increase utilization of this amazing program by offering visits to more students!

Expert, virtual care for students

Parkview Health is partnering with schools to bring onsite virtual healthcare visits to students. For families at participating schools, this means students experiencing non-emergent medical conditions can be seen by a Parkview provider right from school.

The benefits of having virtual healthcare in schools include:

  • Time off work for parents/guardians is reduced.

  • Transportation expense and time is saved.

  • The stress of finding a same-day appointment with a provider is eliminated.

  • The student has convenient access to quality healthcare.

A school virtual care clinic provides students with focused medical care for non-emergent medical conditions and a treatment plan virtually while assisted by an on-site school nurse or staff member in person.

When not feeling well, your student should visit the school clinic and staff will decide if a video visit with the Parkview provider is needed.
